This page explains what the Egyptian Masters League website (egml.net) collects, why, who can see it, and how to ask for a correction or deletion. The operator is the Egyptian Masters League; contact the league administration through your team manager.
What we collect
- Accounts: name and email address, through Google sign-in or email and password. With Google we only read your name, email and avatar.
- Players: Arabic and English name, date of birth, position, shirt number, phone number and photo.
- Teams: names, colours, logo, home ground and the team's contact details.
- Matches: results, goals, assists, cards and photos.
- Match availability: if a team manager turns it on, each player's available / unavailable status for the next match is recorded.
What is public
The public site shows standings, fixtures, results, team pages and, for each player, only the name, photo, position, shirt number and age.
- The full date of birth is never public; only signed-in team managers and league admins can see it.
- Phone numbers are always private and visible only to the team's managers and league admins.
- Match availability is private to the team and is not shown to other teams or the public.
- Player, team and match photos are public.
Why we use it
Only to run the league: checking the age rule (35 and over), registering rosters per season, scheduling matches and recording results, computing standings, scorers and discipline, and contacting team managers about fixtures, invitations and account verification. No advertising, and we never sell or share data for marketing.
Where it is stored
- The database runs on Neon (EU, Frankfurt) and the app on Vercel (Frankfurt).
- Images are stored on Vercel Blob after being resized and stripped of metadata.
- Emails (verification, password reset, invitations, fixture changes) are sent through Resend.
Cookies
We use one cookie for the sign-in session and a small one that remembers the selected team for people who manage more than one team. No third-party tracking or analytics.
Retention
Data is kept for as long as a player or team takes part in the league; match records and results remain as part of the league's archive. Accounts and player records can be deleted on request.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by contacting the league administration through your team manager. Team managers are responsible for having their players' consent before publishing names and photos.
Children
The league is for players aged 35 and over; we do not collect data about minors.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site changes; the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
